Curtis Giesen

Curtis Giesen has deep experience both as an entrepreneur and as a senior executive in large organizations. He has a proven track record in identifying and executing new business opportunities.

As an entrepreneur, Giesen was founder and CEO of, a visible internet venture based on TV and Radio celebrity, “Dr. Drew” Pinsky. Giesen raised a total of $12 million from premier firms and high profile angel investors. The site quickly became a leading Gen Y destination and was widely seen as an innovative resource providing health information for young adults. Giesen was profiled in Fortune, Inc., Industry Standard, Upside, Mediaweek and several other publications. He received the Harvard Business School Club of New York “Entrepreneur of the Year” Award in 2000.

Before that, Giesen was a key executive at Attitude Network and helped build the #1 game site on the web, Happy Puppy. Giesen’s first startup was The MacDougall Company, a New York advertising agency he co-founded with legendary creative veteran, Mal MacDougall.

Giesen has been a senior sales executive at Time Warner and Sony. He was in the marketing consulting division of Marketing Corporation of America, in Westport, CT. He spent several years at Ogilvy and Mather advertising in New York.

Giesen is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Amherst College. He is Chairman of a foundation that provides funding for innovative art programs for disadvantaged youth in Pasadena, CA.
